ART 418 - Visual Development

(3 units)

Prerequisite: BFA Illustration/Animation major.

For Illustration Track: ART 371B  and ART 372 , or consent of instructor.

For Animation Track: ART 272 , ART 391 ; ART 392  or ART 476 ; or consent of instructor.

For Pre-Production Track: ART 371A , ART 372 .
Prerequisite/corequisite: ART 271  or ART 272 .

Visual development of environments, backgrounds, architecture, and props using research, sketching, editing, lighting, and color to create dramatic, stylized designs for animation, live action, and gaming. Primary goal is to provide a clear methodology to generate original inventive work.

Letter grade only (A-F). (6 hours lab)
