Cyber Security Applications Minor

(18 units)

The Minor in Cybersecurity is designed to provide students with cybersecurity skills, which can be an advantage for job seeking and career building, as well as a source of personal enrichment. Students accepted for admission must have at least a 2.5 GPA with junior standing.

Requirements (18 units)

Take all the following courses:

CECS 100 - Critical Thinking in the Digital Information Age (3 units)
CECS 302 - Introduction to Computer Forensics (3 units)
CECS 303 - Networks and Network Security (3 units)
JOUR 360 - Culture and Politics of the Internet (3 units)

Take one of the following:

CECS 278 - Cyber Security Principles (3 units)
or
CECS 378 - Introduction to Computer Security Principles (3 units)

Take one of the following:

I S 360 - Cybersecurity in Business (3 units)
or
I S 456 - Systems Integration and Security (3 units)
