SOC 466 - AIDS and Society (3 units)
Prerequisites: GE Foundation, one Explorations course, and upper-division standing. Examines behavioral aspects and societal impact of the AIDS epidemic. Covers structural barriers such as poverty, sexism, and racism in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment. Examines sexual identities, gender, race, culture and class. Emphasizes gender roles and gender power relations.
