NRSG 351 - Maternal/Newborn Nursing and Women’s Health (6 units)
Prerequisites: NRSG 331 , NRSG 341 , NRSG 450 , or consent of instructor. Corequisites: NRSG 361 and NRSG 456 , or consent of instructor. Theory and application of health care for pregnant/parenting families from pre-conception to newborn care including health promotion and disease prevention and/or treatment. Obstetric, gynecologic and family health is explored within the context of cultural, psychosocial influences, and evidence based practice.
Letter grade only (A-F). Course fee may be required. (Lecture-discussion 3 hours, laboratory 9 hours) Not open to students with credit in NRSG 372.
