MAE 300 - Engineering Instrumentation and Measurement (2 units)
Prerequisites: MATH 224 ; PHYS 152 or E E 210 and E E 210L all with a grade of “C” or better. Statistical analysis of experimental data, uncertainty analysis, various statistical distributions and test of goodness of fit, correlation coefficient and multivariable regression. Engineering instrumentation include types of passive/active transducers, electronics for instrumentation, computer-based data acquisition, and experiments on pressure, temperature, force measurements.
Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture-problems 1 hour, Laboratory 3 hours)
