KIN 541 - Applied Biomechanics: Lifting and Work Capacity (3 units)
Prerequisite: KIN 300 or equivalent (Trigonometry and PHYS 100A recommended). Open to KIN graduate students only Study of the mechanical properties of bone, ligament, tendon and skeletal muscle. Development, description, and application of selected biomechanical models to the evaluation of weight‑lifting, rehabilitation exercises, and occupational lifting tasks. Critical analysis of methods used to assess strength.
