GEOL 465 - Physical and Chemical Oceanography

Prerequisites: CHEM 111A  or CHEM 112A.  

Recommended: PHYS 100A  or PHYS 151. 
Physics and chemistry of the oceans; carbon cycle; nutrients; minor and trace elements in sea water; water masses and currents; physical concepts of ocean circulation.

Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture 3 hrs.)
