Prerequisite(s): LING 325 or ENGL 320 or permission of instructor. Concepts and theoretical approaches foundational to understanding meaning in language, including truth and inference, words and meaning, grammar and meaning, pregmatics, construal, conceptual metaphor, and embodied cognition.
