MAE 453H - Stability and Control of Aerospace Vehicles (3 units)
Prerequisite: MAE 350 or equivalent all with a grade of “C” or better. Corequisite: MAE 334 . Physical dependence of airplane stability/control characteristics on airplane configuration and flight condition. Equations for static longitudinal, lateral and directional stability of airplanes. Neutral points, control effectiveness, trim in maneuvering flight. Configuration determinants. Transient modes. MAE 453H is open only to students in the Engineering Honors Program. Not open for credit to students with credit in MAE 453 .
