H SC 760 - Public Health Informatics and Data Science

Prerequisite: H SC 703. 
This course develops competence in applying data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to public health informatics. Students will gain experience working with large and complex public and population health datasets. Emphasis is placed on working with high-dimensional data, applying reproducible analysis practices, and exploring data-driven approaches to address public health challenges, while addressing considerations around data quality, algorithmic fairness, and responsible use of AI.

Letter grade only (A-F). Not repeatable for credit.
