RGR 300 - Analyzing Short Prose Fiction across Cultures
(3 units)
Prerequisite(s):GE Foundation requirements, upper-division standing, or instructor consent. Declaring a major in BA in Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (MLLC).
Introduction to translated short prose fiction from cultures including Arabic, French, German, Italian, Russian, and Spanish (Spain and Latin America). Students will explore narrative structures, cultural contexts, socio-political relevance and critical theory through a comparative and analytical lens.
Letter grade only (A-F). Not repeatable for credit.
