TRST 453 - Audiovisual Translation: Dubbing

(3 units)

Prerequisites: 3 years of language instruction, TRST 301, or consent of instructor.
This course explores the theory and practice of dubbing, covering key technical, linguistic, and semiotic aspects of script adaptation for screen media, and examining professional workflows, synchrony requirements, and the impact of emerging AI tools used in major dubbing studios worldwide.
