CHIN 491 - Chinese Contemporary Films

Prerequisite(s): Upper-division standing
This course analyzes and evaluates how modern and contemporary China is depicted in films produced after 1949. Topics through film studies include but not limited to the history, politics, society and culture component of China in the twentieth century.

Both grading options. Students in CHIN 491 can take the course for Credit/No Credit or a Letter Grade (A-F). Students in CHIN 591 must take the course for a Letter Grade (A-F). (3 hours per week) Not repeatable for credit. Double Numbered with: CHIN 591
