CHIN 586 - Chinese Martial Arts Literature in Translation

Through martial arts literature from the Han Dynasty (202 BCE - 220 CE) to the 20^th century, this course examines how these works reveal social morals and ethics, gender norms, political relationship, and class distinctions in Chinese society throughout the history.

Letter grade only (A-F). Students in CHIN 486 can take the course for Credit/No Credit or a Letter Grade (A-F). Students in CHIN 586 must take the course for a Letter Grade (A-F). (3 hours per week) Not repeatable for credit. Double Numbered with: CHIN 486
