GLST 365 - Social Media, AI, and Democracy

Prerequisites: Completion of at least 60 units; GE Foundation Requirements.
This course examines the far-reaching impacts of the tech industry, particularly social media and artificial intelligence-on individual psychology, social relationships, and global politics. It explores how emerging forms of digital communication are reshaping our relationships to fact, reality, and identity, and how these shifts intersect with governance around the globe.
