NRSG 705 - Social Determinants of Health

Prerequisites: Admission to the DNP Graduate Program and/or consent of instructor.
Corequisites: NRSG 706, NRSG 704, NRSG 707.

This course focuses on understanding the larger context of health. A special emphasis is placed on the social determinants of health and their implications for clinical prevention and driving population health. Understanding the intersectionality and interplay of epidemiology, environmental health, and social determinants of health is underscored as they relate to the role of the Advanced Practice Nurse.
