MTED 402 - Algebraic Thinking for Elementary and Middle School Teachers

Prerequisite(s): ”C” or better in MTED 305
Algebraic thinking, content, and problem-solving processes and strategies relevant to teaching K-8 mathematics. Topics include: the real number system; number theory; linear and non-linear equations and inequalities; pattern and functions; proportional thinking; connections to geometry, probability, and statistics.

Both grading options. (Lecture 2 hours, Activity 2 hours) Not open for credit to Mathematics majors.
