Introduction to pronunciation, reading, writing, conversation, and structure of the Japanese language.

Both grading options. Contact the AAAS Undergraduate Advisor for assessment and placement if the student has studied Japanese before. Native speakers of Japanese who have completed compulsory education in Japan may not enroll.
