Prerequisites: Upper-division standing; Completion of GE Foundations.
The human and physical patterns of Europe. Using both historical and contemporary frameworks, it draws connections between cultural, environmental, geo-political and economic characteristics in the region. The course also introduces pressing social and political issues and evaluates differing ideas on potential solutions.
