EDEL 482D - Student Teaching in Diverse Classrooms (UTEACH Pathway)

 
Corequisite(s): Must enroll in EDEL 484A (Fall) and EDEL 484B (Spring)
Prerequisite(s)/Corequisite(s): Submission of application to student teach by the deadline and approval for advancement to student teaching by the UTEACH Coordinator or MSCP Coordinator.

Must also enroll in EDEL 484A (Fall) and EDEL 484B (Spring)

Teacher candidates in the UTEACH pathway complete a 16-week student teaching assignment in diverse public schools. They gradually transition from assisting and co-teaching with a cooperating teacher to solo teaching, supported by a university mentor through regular meetings and observations.

 

Credit/No Credit; equivalent of “A” or “B” for credit. Course fee may be required. (Approximately 8 hours per week.)
