Prerequisites/Corequisites: E E 370 or graduate standing.

Characteristics of semiconductor power switches. The role of Power Electronics as an enabling technology in various applications such as energy conservation, renewable energy and power grid, fast DC charging and motor drive. Selection of drives to control various types of AC and DC motors. Uninterruptible power supplies and adjustable speed drives.
