This added authorization is granted by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).
The Reading and Literacy Added Authorization provides classroom teachers with advanced preparation in reading/language arts assessment and instruction, as well as theory and research in teaching reading, grades K-12.
The state requires that a candidate must have three years of teaching experience prior to recommendation for the Reading and Literacy Added Authorization.
