Students with upper division standing declaring business economics as a major may substitute ECON 300  for ECON 100  and ECON 101 .

Upper Division Electives:


  • Complete six additional upper-division courses in Economics, of which at least two must be at the 400 level (excluding ECON 300 ECON 406 ECON 495 , ECON 499,  and C/LA 492  ).
  • Up to three units of C/LA 492  and ECON 406  may be used in place of a 300-level Economics course.

Students who have declared a minor in one of the following programs may use one of its courses listed below in place of a 300-level Economics elective course:

All courses used to satisfy Business Economics degree requirements must be taken for a letter grade. Courses used to satisfy degree requirements for the B.A. in Business Economics may not, at the same time, be used to also satisfy degree requirements for the B.A. in Economics or the B.A. in Economics Option in Mathematical Economics and Economic Theory.
