Note(s):

Students with upper division standing declaring business economics as a major may substitute ECON 300 for ECON 100 and ECON 101 .

Complete the following course:

ACCT 201 - Elementary Financial Accounting (3 units)

Complete one of the following courses with a grade of “C” or better:

MATH 115 - Calculus for Business (3 units)
MATH 119A - Survey of Calculus I (3 units)
MATH 122 - Calculus I (4 units)

Upper Division Core:

Complete each of the following courses with grades of “C” or better:

ECON 310 - Microeconomic Theory (3 units)
ECON 311 - Macroeconomic Theory (3 units)

Complete one of the following courses:

COMM 330 - Intercultural Communication (3 units)

ENGL 416 - Technical Editing (4 units)
ENGL 417 - Proposal Writing (3 units)
ENGL 418 - Manual Writing (3 units)

SPAN 315 - Professional Conversation for Spanish Heritage Speakers (3 units)
SPAN 335A - Business Spanish (3 units)
SPAN 335B - Business Spanish (3 units)

Upper Division Electives:

Complete five additional upper-division courses in Economics, of which at least two must be at the 400 level (excluding ECON 300 , ECON 406 , ECON 495 , ECON 499, and C/LA 492 ).
Up to three units of C/LA 492 and ECON 406 may be used in place of a 300-level Economics course.

The following information applies only to students with a declared minor.

Students who have declared a minor in one of the following programs may use one of its courses listed below in place of a 300-level Economics elective course:

Note:

All courses used to satisfy Business Economics degree requirements must be taken for a letter grade. Courses used to satisfy degree requirements for the B.A. in Business Economics may not, at the same time, be used to also satisfy degree requirements for the B.A. in Economics or the B.A. in Economics Option in Mathematical Economics and Economic Theory.
