Spanish Option II: Interdisciplinary Studies


The Spanish Program offers courses in language, linguistics, literature, culture and translation leading to the following degrees and certificates: Bachelor of Arts with two options and Master of Arts degrees in Spanish, Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish, Concentration in Spanish for the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies, minor in Spanish, and the Bilingual Concentration for B.A. in Liberal Studies.

Major Specific Unit Requirements:

Prerequisites: 0-12 units of lower-division language courses depending on the student’s existing and demonstrated language proficiency in Spanish.

Take 15 units in one of the disciplinary areas below. Other courses may apply. Students should consult with their advisors in the first and/or second major for guidance. Students can also consult with the CLA Advising Center ATLAS or the advising center in their college.

The following courses have been selected in consultation with the chairs of all departments listed and the Spanish faculty on the basis of content and to assure that there are no hidden requirements.
