The PK-3 ECECP is a 45-unit program. Teacher candidates complete the program in three phases. Candidates must earn a “C” or better in all credential courses and maintain a 3.0 grade point average (B average) in all pedagogical method courses. Candidates who may seek additional subject-specific content support, such as in math or science, will be provided with a list of recommended content courses.

*Disclaimer: Program requirements and expectations are subject to change as a result of changes by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.

Requirements for Admission to Credential Program

All future teacher candidates must obtain a Live Scan clearance for any prior record or criminal activity and receive TB clearance to begin their clinical practice experiences in schools.
