Linguistics, B.A. + M.A.

Students in the Beach EDGE  Linguistics (general option) program will complete the requirements for both the B.A. and M.A. in Linguistics.  

Beach EDGE students in Linguistics may double-count 12 M.A. units towards both their B.A. and M.A. degrees. These 12 units must be completed in residence at CSULB.

Students can choose four of the following graduate-level core courses to double-count for the B.A. and M.A.

• LING 595 - Qualitative Research Methods   
• LING 596 - Quantitative Research Methods   
• LING 610 - Historical Linguistics   
• LING 620 - Seminar in Syntactic Theory and Analysis   
• LING 625 - Seminar in Phonetics and Phonology   
• LING 650 - Seminar in Bilingualism
