Criminology and Criminal Justice Minor


Admission to the Minor


The minor in criminology and criminal justice is available to any non-criminology and criminal justice major. Students who would like to declare and/or change to criminology and criminal justice as their minor must have an overall GPA of 2.5 and be enrolled in or have completed CRJU 101  or an equivalent course at another college or university. Alternative admission requirements may apply during times when the school is impacted.

The minor requires a minimum of 21 units as follows:

All courses in the criminal justice minor must be taken for a letter grade only (A-F) and must be successfully completed with a grade of “C” of higher. CRJU 101  and CRJU 300  are prerequisites (or corequisites) for all core courses at the 300-level. All 300-level courses must be taken in residence at CSULB and, therefore, may not be transferred in from other colleges or universities.
