Advisory and Development Council
The Department of Electrical Engineering is supported by an Advisory and Development Council consisting of engineering leadership from Southern California industry and government. Its function is to form a liaison between the University and industry and to keep the administration and faculty informed of modern engineering practices. This ensures that the curricula are kept up‑to‑date. It also advises on student placement opportunities before and after graduation.
ABET Accreditation
The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering offered at the Long Beach campus and the Electrical Engineering Antelope Valley degree program offered at Lancaster University Center, Lancaster, CA are both accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, http://www.abet.org.
