Introduction
The German Program at CSULB is one of the most active and successful in the United States, regularly hosting student-centered international conferences and sending students on to the most competitive PhD programs on full funding. The program promotes study abroad and maintains exchange programs with all of the Universities of the state of Baden-Wurttemberg, the Cologne Game Lab, the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg, the University of Oldenburg, Freiburg (Switzerland), Salzburg (Austria), among others, as well as the German Summer School of the Pacific. The German Studies Program at CSU LB is a leader in receiving study abroad support including DAAD and Fulbright awards as well as Fulbright Teacher Exchange positions in Austria and Germany. German students are also eligible to participate in the CSULB German-American Business Student Workshop with the Polytechnic University Hamburg, Germany. In addition, we also offer the Single Subject Credential Program in German. Its graduates are eagerly recruited as German teachers in high schools in California and beyond.
