This course examines the history and experience of Black people in Los Angeles, CA. The course examines migratory patterns, housing and labor discrimination, the struggle for political influence and community organizations. Topics include the Central Avenue Jazz scene, Watts Rebellion, and more.
Both grading options. Not repeatable for credit.
