MAE 536 - Combustion and Propulsion Diagnostics

Prerequisite:  Open to Engineering MS, Aerospace Engineering MS, Mechanical Engineering MS, Physics MS, Chemistry MS, and Chemical Engineering MS students only.
Introduction to non-intrusive techniques and equipment used in propulsion and combustion applications. Related optical and spectroscopic physics including geometric optics, refraction, photodetector operation and noise sources, wave optics, statistical physics, spectroscopy, lasers, synchrotron x-ray physics, and Schlieren imaging.

Letter grade only (A-F). (Lecture-problems 3 hours) Not repeatable for credit
