CRJU 626 - Social Justice In Action

Prerequisites: A grade of “B” or better in CRJU 501 and CRJU 504;or consent of instructor. Open to Criminology & Criminal Justice master’s students only or graduate advisor permission.
Explores social justice, including broad conceptualizations of social justice; exploration of human rights, race, culture, poverty, privilege and identity in social justice; and impact of current world events (e.g. the global pandemic, civil unrest, etc.) through active engagement (in-person and/or virtual) with social justice organizations and services. Community-based activities may be required.

Letter grade only (A-F). Not repeatable for credit. Double Numbered with: CRJU 426.
