SDHE 511 - Equity and Access for the U.S. College Student

Prerequisite: SDHE 510. Must be current student enrolled in Counseling, Student Development in Higher Education Master’s Program.
Examination of institutional and structural barriers in U.S. postsecondary education using critical perspectives. Introduction to the diversity of students including racial, ethnic, gender, age, sexual orientation, and ability. Focus on access, outcomes, college impact theories, and campus climate literature.

Letter grade only (A-F). Not open for credit to students with credit in EDP 548/COUN 548/SDHE 548.
