Prerequisites: ENGL 100B or GE Written Communication (Area A2) and upper-division standing, or consent of instructor. Study of women as spiritual and religious beings responding to and coping with largely patriarchal religious doctrine. Examines socio-religious construction of women and women’s religious experience from prehistory to present day. Focus on feminist transformations of religious traditions.
