PHYS 470 - Introduction to Solid State Physics

Prerequisite: PHYS 450.
(Undergraduates enroll in PHYS 470; graduates enroll in PHYS 570.) Study of properties of solids from quantum theoretical viewpoint. Includes lattice vibratons, elastic constants, and thermal, electric, and magnetic properties.
