Prerequisites: Upper division standing; GE Foundations; Score of 11 or higher on the GWAR Placement Examination or completion of the necessary portfolio course that is a prerequisite for a GWAR Writing Intensive course.
The human and physical patterns of Europe. Using both historical and contemporary frameworks, it draws connections between cultural, environmental, geo-political and economic characteristics in the region.The course also introduces pressing social and political issues and evaluates differing ideas on potential solutions.

Both grading options.
