Prerequisite: BIOL 320 or MICR 320 or BIOL 340 with a grade of “C” or better. (Undergraduates enroll in BIOL 416; graduates enroll in BIOL 516.) Virology at molecular level including viral replication and molecular basis for viral pathogenesis; survey of human, animal, and plant viral diseases. Current trends for prevention and treatment of viral diseases.
