EDSP 578 - Instructional Methods and Strategies for Individuals with Extensive Support Needs (3 units)
Prerequisites: Admission to the Preliminary Education Specialist Credential Program or admittance to Master of Science in Special Education Program. Course to be taken concurrently with student teaching. Exceptions must be approved by the Education Specialist Program. Instructional methods, teaching strategies, and curricular adaptations for students with extensive support needs from kindergarten to age 22, including evaluation, program planning, use of technology for instruction and communication, and knowledge related to movement, mobility, health, and sensory needs.
Letter grade only (A-F). Course fee may be required. 10 hours of fieldwork required if not currently enrolled in student teaching.
