HIST 315 - Egypt, Sumer, and the Ancient Near East

Provides a survey of the political, religious, social, and cultural history of the peoples of the Ancient Near East (Sumer, Akkad, Assyria, Babylon, the Hebrews, Egypt). Topics include the intersection of religion and power, concepts of empire, and social hierarchies.
