LING 426 - History of the English Language

Prerequisite(s): LING 170 /ANTH 170  or permission of instructor.
Structural and socio-political development of the English language, from its roots in Indo-European to its emergence as a global language. 

Both grading options. Same course as ENGL 426 . Not open for credit to students with credit in ENGL 426 /ENGL 526 .
