BIOL 563 - Computer Modeling in Biology (4 units)
Prerequisites: Graduate standing in the Department of Biological Sciences. History, modeling theory, different modeling approaches, theoretical, empirical and quantitative modeling. Laboratory uses modeling software and focuses on model construction and quantitative simulation. Applicable to ecology, microbiology, physiology, environmental sciences, etc.
Letter grade only (A-F). Course fee may be required. (Lecture 3 hrs., laboratory 3 hrs.)
