CRJU 504 - Criminological Theory (3 units)
Prerequisite: Open to Criminology & Criminal Justice master’s students only who have taken CRJU 304 or an equivalent undergraduate-level course in criminological theory as approved by the graduate advisor or graduate advisor permission. Exploration of theories and policy implication of crime. Political, social, and economic context will be used to explore the ecology of criminal behavior. Underpinnings of criminological theory are traced through history by focusing on connection to biology, psychology, and sociology.
Letter grade only (A-F). Not open for credit to students with credit in CRIM 581.
