ART 356 - Jewelry Casting

Prerequisite: ART 130 , ART 131 , ART 181 ; AH 111A , AH 111B . ART majors, Pre-Art BFA majors, Pre-Studio Art BA majors, and Pre-Art 3-D Media BFA majors only. Exclude Freshmen.
Design and creation of jewelry through lost-wax casting techniques and processes. Exploration of wax-working techniques, mold making, found object casting, metal melting, and finishing techniques.
Course fee may be required. (6 hrs. lab.) May be repeated to a maximum of 6 units.
