MUS 244 - Composition Workshop

Prerequisite/Corequisite: MUS 140 or MUS 141A or MUS 141B.

Concepts, tools, and techniques for composing tonal and post-tonal music in acoustic and electronic media using a variety of forms, styles, and notations.

Letter grade only (A-F). MUS 244 is repeatable for up to 4 units of credit in different semesters. Students will be able to take MUS 444 for credit in a future semester. Not open to credit for students with existing credit in MUS 244A or MUS 244B. Consult an advisor for questions related to repeating this course and catalog rights. Double Numbered with: MUS 444.
