ERTH 540 - Data Analysis for the Earth Sciences

Prerequisite(s): Completion of MATH 122 and MATH 123 (or equivalent) and enrolled in a STEM major.
This course provides a practical introduction to statistical methods and numerical analysis of Earth Science data, including basic computer programming. The course focuses on methods commonly used in Geology and Earth System Science, but the techniques are transferable to other physical and life sciences problems, and so may be of interest to other STEM majors.

Letter grade only (A-F). Not repeatable for credit. Double Numbered with: ERTH 440.
