EDEC 455 - Teaching Early Language and Literacy (K-3rd Grade)

Prerequisites: Admission to the PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential program.
Examines and explores approaches for engaging and developing young children’s literacy and language development in kindergarten through 3^rd grade classroom settings. Application of pedagogies for instruction and assessment for children with various linguistic, cultural, and social backgrounds.

Letter grade only (A-F). Students complete 10 hours of clinical practice. Course fees may be required. Not repeatable for credit.
