An introduction to Modern Jewish Studies through an exploration of modern Jewish humor, with a particular focus on minority identity, assimilation and acculturation, and the way Jewish humor was shaped by and in turn shaped American culture.

Both grading options. Same course as HIST 140. Not repeatable for credit. Not open to credit for those with existing credit in HIST 140.
