Prerequisites: THEA 112 with a “B” or better, or consent of instructor.
Foundational work for the study of accent acquisition. Use of broad and narrow International Phonetic Alphabet transcription in the analysis of speech.

Letter Grade only (A-F). (2 hours Lecture and 2 hours Speech, Drama Activities) Not repeatable for additional credit. Not open to credit for students with existing credit in THEA 320A.
