Prerequisites: MUS 141A with a “C” grade or better and MUS 142A with a “C” grade or better or satisfactory score in theory placement test.
Corequisite: MUS 141B.
Principles of part-writing, to include modal counterpoint, concepts of chord progression, chord prolongation, and analysis in diatonic and chromatic tonal music.

Both grading options.
